Ask an adult to help you choose the perfect spot in a tree or by the patio. You’ll need a place where the balloons can be tied overhead, but that isn’t too far out of reach.
Attach a balloon to the narrow end of the funnel and slowly fill with water. The fuller the balloon, the more easily it will burst.
Fill about seven balloons, setting them aside on a soft surface like an old blanket.
Tie each balloon to a piece of string, about 6cm apart. Leave about 30cms of string on either side.
Tie the ends of the string to the spot you’ve chosen to hang your piñata. The balloons are heavy so make sure they are tied securely.
Now you and your friends can line up and take turns trying to burst them. Use the bat or pool noodle but be careful not to hit anyone!
If you don’t have a bat or noodle, roll up a newspaper or magazine and secure with duct tape.
